    Well, that's apparently an error, though I'm not sure which one.

    For the present, I would just try a different player. There are a lot out there that play Divx. And they may be better than Divx's own player.

    First, I would try VLC Media Player. It has it's own codecs and it can play most anything and it's freeware. Another that is popular is Media Player Classic. It may need the Divx or Xivid codec. Also freeware.

    And you may be able to go to the Divx homepage and trace down that number for the error and see what it says. My first guess is that you have another codec installed that is interfering with the player. Have you installed anything recently? Codec packs especially can cause problems.
