  1. I know the encoding of mpeg2 video,

    but I don't how how to encoding a mpeg2 video including audio?

    I found many NLE software can combine video and audio,but what's encoding method they use?

    MPEG-2 in a DVD uses: 'Up to 8 audio tracks containing Dolby Digital, DTS, PCM(uncompressed audio), MPEG-1 Layer2. One audio track must have MPEG-1, DD or PCM Audio'. This from our 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left.

    But AC3 is probably the most universally used format. PCM takes too much file space for most users. MPEG 1, Layer 2 is acceptable for NTSC. Still, AC3 is the better choice.
