I need some help... i'm recording videos on my digital camera, the audio it records is as follows:
Sampling Rate: 11024Hz
Channels: 1 mono
Precision: 8-bit
Compression: PCM uncompressed
now.. when playing back on the computer, everything is fine. However when converting the file to FLV or basically uploading on the net (youtube.. etc..) the audio becomes way out of sync. I'm guessing due to the fact that it's not mp3 audio.
I've tried converting the audio or compressing it in virtualdub, but no matter which sample rate i choose, i get an error (Error initializing Audio Stream) so is there any alternative ways to convert the audio to mp3 and have it be in sync, i dont care much about quality, i would just like the audio to by sync.
Can anyone help?

Whatever applications you are using to convert the original audio/video apparently does not understand that sample rate.
You may have better success by demultiplexing the original audio/video into separate streams, then converting, with an audio-converting application that can handle that sample rate, into a more standard sample rate WAV file. Then converting the result of multiplexing that new, more standard audio stream back together with the original video only stream (after first checking that it is still synchronized of course).
I would think that 11,025 would be a better sample rate for them to use since that is exactly 1/4 of the standard CD sample rate of 44,100. -
Use the audio conversion option in VirtualDub to convert to 44100 Hz, 16 bit, mono (or stereo), then use regular MP3 CBR compression.
