    I installed Nero 7 Essential and try to burn movie from avi format to DVD and I am getting freeze application after 2:37 mins and encoding stop and all sudden applicatiion freeze I just want to know Is it related to my software or something else?

    Traditionally Nero is regarded by many including myself as a poor encoder. However your issues may be being caused by a fauly source file. Easiest way to check is to use something like the freeware divxtodvd (convertxtodvd's little cousin) and if it converts OK, then Nero was the problem. If not, then you'd look at codecs next, and then the source file itself.

    Try encoding the file to MPEG-2 first with TMPGEnc. Then drag it into Nero and try it.

    Nero Vision Express has a glitchy transcoder.
