    Hello,

I recently downloaded a movie from Bit torrent but it wont open in windows XP media player OR Nero media player. The file format is "Video Clip". I want to burn it to a DVD so that I can watch it on a stand alone DVD player.

    Any suggestions??

Use ConvertXtoDVD, add the clip, convert and burn.

Thanks for your reply but the convertxtodvd does not recognize the file type. Any other suggestions.

use gspot to find out what the codec is. You might not have the codec installed. Find out what the video format is and then download the appropriate codec - please be sure to just download that codec - avoid codec packs as they have been reported to have many conflicts and are really unneccesary if you only need one or two codecs. Just get the one you need

He may have not unchecked 'Tools>Folder Options>View>Hide extensions for known file types.' You can find this box on any folder. If it's still checked, it won't show you common extensions. 'Video clip' is Windows generic name for a video file, not the file type. As mentioned, Gspot 2.60 should tell you the true extension.
