Is there a software program that can convert the language in a avi movie from German to english. The movie has only 1 audio file and its German, can it be converted to english? Thanks

Are you talking about the actual voices and dialogue in the movie? I don't think that's possible. If you are talking about subtitles you could save as a text file and use a translation program to convert languages, save the new language, and copy in the new subtitles. But I think it's impossible to do the audio - you'd have to manually rerecord the dialogue in the new language and remix it into the movie.

Please be a little more specific. I don't mean to be insulting if I misread you're question it just seemed a little odd to me.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Short answer - no, not automatically. If you are prepared to do a lot of editing, you could dub your own translation over the top, but otherwise you are better off looking for German subtitles.

Thanks very much for the replies....I wasn't talking about subtitles I was really referring to the spoken language. I didn't think there was a program that would convert the spoken language but with today’s technology changing that fast I just had to ask.
