I have a really strange problem with my computer...

As the title says, I can watch all video types except .mpg's, which don't work.

Media player receives an "unknown" error when I try to play them. Until about 3 days ago, all formats played perfectly - I have all the codecs (downloaded again to make sure), so I can't imagine what's gone wrong.

Has anyone heard of something like this before, or how to fix it? I couldn't find anything on this through the forum's search or google.

Codec Pack? If so, that could be your problem. Better to install individual codecs as needed.

You can use codec sniper to browse your codecs and remove any corrupted or not used versions.

After that, any files that don't work, open with gspot. It will tell you which codec is needed to play the file and if it is available on your pc. Then just reinstall any that are needed or not working.
