You shouldn't need DVD Decrypter to rip the disc. Just copy the files from the -RW disc to your HD.
I've just got a DMRES15 and I'm trying to record material from Sky onto a +RW and transfer to permanent hard copy via my PC. The problem I'm having is that the first .VOB file which is generated on the +RW disc always seems to be corrupted and therefore I can't add it into my Premier Elements programme (although all the subsequent .VOB files are fine).
Does anyone else have any experience of this?
I'm wondering if there is some sort of copy protection which allows me to record onto the DVD player/recorder, but then prevents transfer via the PC, although DVD Decrypter doesn't seem to say so.
Any help appreciated.

Thanks for your response, but I probably didn't make my problem clear. I can copy the files to my HD no problem and can even play them on the PC with Win DVD, but it's when I want to edit them with Premiere Elements that the problem seems to start.
I can add them into PE, using the media downloader, but it appears to do it in image size 352 x 240, which means only about half the picture is visable. All subsequent .vob files seem to transfer OK (ie. 720x576).
Has anyone else had this experience?
