can someone help me find this software I'm looking for to output video?

Except, I'm not exactly outputting video I dont really know what exactly to search for, so this forum section seemed closest to what I'm looking to do.
Let me break down what I'm doing and what I need.
My video studio has Two 100" rear projection screens in the front window, I sell Ad space that local businesses run there commercials on during the night (I'm in a high Traffic area), So far I've just been producing the commercials, putting them on DVD and having them repeat.

I've noticed some other businesses who also do this have basically the same setup but there screens can give up to date Time/Weather, ect. Obviously they are running some type of Keyosk software, and I've noticed that they're ad's seems like they are made in Macromedia Flash, or something along the lines of this.. I would like to get away from actoually creating a video to do this. Or just continue what I'm doing but have a system control whats being played so it can cut into a real time commercial that will display the time, ect.

so anyways I hope I have explained it well.. I would just go and ask but these people are my competition.. so yah, thats not going to happen
