Can someone please point me to where I can find settings to convert a VOB file to PSP.
I used Mactheripper for the VOB and I am using ffmpegX to convert. I tried to use the PSP setting in ffmpegX, but it didn't work.

    Can someone please help?

    Mac OS X 10.3.9
    Dual 2Ghz G%
    1.5 GB mem.

    PSP Firmware 2.71

Kind of a newbie, but learning fast.
    Thanks in advance

Please describe what the results were. Did you file get converted or not? Did you get an error, if so, which? How large was your output file? Could you play the converted file on your Mac? If the conversion failed, please post the log.

I transfered the file to my PSP and tried to play it. I got the error message "This video cannot be played"

The file was converted. No errors. The name is M4V02395.MP4. It size is 36.5 mb

Try encoding with the framerate at 29.97 fps.

"Try encoding with the framerate at 29.97 fps."

Where exactly do I enter that? Under video? When I did that, I got an error saying it couldn't create an interger.

    Thanks

You can select the framerate in the drop down menu. But using the PSP preset should set the framerate initially at "NTSC (29.97)".

Also read the how-to webpage. "width x height must not exceed 76,800 pixels", but your 640x352 = 225,280 is almost 3 times over this limit.

I used the settings that you gave me and it worked! However, the audio isn't in-sync in some places and others the directors audio is played.
When I preview or play it in ffmpgX, the audio is good and everything looks fine.

When I make the VOB from Mactheripper, I am only selecting a couple of chapters so it doesn't take to long. Does this have anything to do with it? Should I do the whole movie and not just a chapter?

    Thanks again
