Until now, we thought we'd have to wait until 2008 for wireless HD, but an Israeli company called Amimon successfully demonstrated a wireless high definition modem (WHDI) that can send uncompressed 720p or 1080i video through walls and over distances of up to 40 feet. Tech writers from PC Magazine saw a demo of the system, saying they couldn't tell the difference between this wireless HD signal compared directly to a signal delivered over standard HDMI cable.

The demo my link referenced did not happen in 2005.

A similar demo apparently happened in 2005, but not the same demo referenced by my link.

This latest demo happened "earlier this week."

    See the 8th paragraph here:

The result, in a demo attended by PC Magazine earlier this week in Amimon's Santa Clara offices, is display fidelity that is indistinguishable from that of a signal carried over a standard HDMI cable. 7. There are many companies doing basically the same thing like Tzero, Pulselink, etc. that have demo'd products this year.

my point was mainly that we are already using such products vs. a company apparently doing the same demo for over a year
