I've posted previously with problems regarding copying my old VHS tapes to DVD. My setup is a VCR hooked directly to a Lite-on DD A100X recorder. This only records in DVD-VR (OK maybe someone will tell me it's +VR but who cares - it's still a pain!!!!).
I was copying VHS to DVD+RW. Copying this disc to the PC, using VOB blanker to cut unwanted stuff and burning to my PC's DVD/RW drive.
My original problem was I was creating DVD's which stuttered in my other DVD players. Various solutions were given from bad media to wrong media, burning speeds etc, etc. I tried most of the solutions I could and eventually ended up saying I would ditch the Lite-on for a recorder that didn't produce VR discs. However a couple of months down the line I am still with the Lite-on due to lack of funds to replace it.

I saw a solution regarding DVD-VR (or +VR) which I hadn't tried on one of the threads on this forum. That was to use DVD-RW to transfer (I had always been using +RW till now). I tried this last night (including finalizing the disc) and great - no more stuttering DVD's, the video and audio ran smoothly in my other players - BUT....one small problem, the audio and video were now out of sync! This was only in the other players. The Lite-on played the disc perfectly, the PC played it OK too but my son's two week old TV/DVD combi ran out of sync as did my own VCR/DVD combi! Any new ideas please before I throw the whole lot in the bin and take up golf!!!!
