hello, I'm attempting to capture video from an LD player
through composite. I'm using the junk software that came with the personal cinema (windvr). Problem is that it crashes at any resolution above 352x240. Now, you might say that resolution is good enough, but the audio sometimes studders and the video occasionally studders. Main problem with that is probably due to the fact that windvr attempts to compress the audio into mp2 format while encoding.
Okay, the real problem. I wanted an alternative to windvr. so I tried virtualdub and some other tools listed on vcdhelp. Only problem is that none of them detect the external video capturing device. I was just wondering if anybody else had this problem and if they were successful in getting virtualdub to detect their personal cinema device.
any help would be appreciate or a video capturing program that can do a great job.
