  1. On XP system Videopack 5 produce a quick blue screen error when I try to turn off my PC (laptop) and produce in fact a reboot. I need to turn off manually my PC (Power button). Blue screen error is related to an ACPI problem.

    Could anybody help me ?

    Thanks in advance

Did U install the XP patch from Roxio for VP5?

    R U sure it's caused by VP5?
ACPI is a power management system. I thought it had to do with hardware.

  3. Thanks for your question

XP Patch is installed. Service pack 1 also. Yes ACPI is to manage device power. But because that's a trap may be the message error is wrong ... If I desinstall Videopack everything return OK.

  5. I had the same problem and may have been the first to report it to Roxio. I was able to capture a screen image using a digital camera and send it to them because they were skeptical but... after three weeks I received a fix.

I don't know if it was written for my machine because they took lots of driver data off my system but if you want to try it, I could send it to you.

It unpacks and installs in less than one second- and what ever it is I cannot examine the file.

I know they are about to post a second patch for VP-5 and this will be included as well as support for the HP DVD100i recorder.

Let me know if you want the ACPI patch- it's a whopping 12K ZIP file.

  6. Hey, can any of you give me an overview of Roxio Video Pack? How does it compare to Tmpgenc or CCE? Does it let you do multipass encoding?

I will be delighted to receive and try the fix. Could you send me this file ? You will find my personal email in your forum private mailbox if you need it.

Thanks a lot for your kind help
