    Hi Everyone,

I have just encoded a .avi file, (original size about 750Mb) using Nero Vision. Taking the advice of a tutorial I read here somewhere, I saved the encoded file(s) to a folder. When I started the burn process, it analyzed about 40% of the file and then I received the following error message. " The disk is full. Error importing video segment. File cannot be inserted" I have received this error with a number of different files I have attempted to burn. In all cases I have the settings set to Automatic. I also used the "2 pass" encoding format.

Any help solving this problem would bw appreciated. Thanks.

Do the .avi files you're trying to encode have variable bitrate audio by any chance?

Do you have enough free space on your HD? You will need at least the amount of the final output (4.3 or 8.5 gig), plus at least that same amount again as working space. So far a single layer DVD you are looking at 8+ gigs of free space.

    Hi ntscuser & Krispy Kritter,

Firstly, Krispy Kritter, yes, I have enough spare disk space.

ntscuser, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by variable audio bitrate. There's an option in the video options settings to alter the bitrate but this is only available if I select "custom".

I'm new to this so I don't know if that refers to audio or video.
