  1. I'm trying to encode mpeg2->mpeg2 and improve video quality in the process with ffdshow... All ffdshow settings are set up but when I load the mpeg2-file in tmpgenc it doesn't use ffdshow but its own internal mpeg2-decoder so any ffdshow setting won't affect in the final video.

Is there a way to disable tmpgenc's own mpeg2-decoder?

Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and disable it and increase the directshow reader...but I'm not sure if it will use ffdshows...

  3. I don't even have vfapi in my list... but when I check only the directshow reader (it's on top of my list, all other unchecked) and try to open a mpeg-file it says "can not open or unsupported"
