  1. I've tried to encode about 5 different files using ffmpeg2theora (the windows binary v.0.17) and 4 of those times no audio was encoded at all - it just gave me a silent file. I've tried .mov, .m4v, and .vob files. Only one .vob file worked, the other i tried didn't. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

    Technically m4v means a raw video stream, no audio. As for the mov, I guess it used something not supported by ffmpeg. Assuming that the m4v was an incorrectly named mp4 then I guess ffmpeg was compiled without faad enabled, so no aac decoding. Easy enough to fix.
