Folks,
As x-mas present from me to me, I just upgraded my receiver and I found that my new Onkyo TX-SR604 has some sort of TBC. I knew that it will convert composite and S-Video inputs to component, but looking at the final quality, things seems to be a bit cleaner.
Does anyone know anything about this feature?![]()

So far with the testing I have done the composite to s-video conversion is very good. The image is better than connection directly the laserdisk to the TV. I\t must have at least some sync circuits as it fixes some problem with a few problematics VHS tapes that I have.
For now I will keep capturing VHS directly of the Panasonic DMR-ES10, But now laser disk and Hi8 tapes will be routed trough this receiver, to the Panasonic and finally to my capture card.
