I have this one DVD where I forgot to add chapter points to, I didn't think it was a big deal but it turned out to be annoying.

I reripped it to my computer so is it possible to use PGCedit to add chapter points?

  2. Hi-

No, but you can use PGCEdit to add the rechaptered DVD back into the main DVD.

Demux using PGCDemux. Add chapters to the Celltimes.txt. They have to be in 29.97fps frame numbers. Reauthor using Muxman, adding in M2V, AC3, Subs (if any), and the Celltimes.txt (File->Add Chapter). When it's done, test it out to make sure the chapters wound up at the right places.

Then open the original DVD in PGCEdit, highlight the video without chapters, go File->Import VTST Titles, and follow the instructions from there to replace the chapterless video with the new one with chapters.

I might sound stupid but I have 4 titles in this DVD. So in PgcDemux, I should be opening the individual VTS IFO files and not the VIDEO_TS IFO right?

Also, when demuxing, do I select "by Pgc" or some other option?

    Edit:
Actually, I think I will just demux, add chapters and maybe a menu this time, reauthor, and reburn the entire thing.

  4. Hi-

You're adding chapters to 4 different titles? Demux each PGC Separately, whether in the same VTS or in 4 different VTS's. That can make a difference if you later do the replace thing in PGCEdit, as you have to replace the same number of titles in the VTS as the original DVD. That is, if there are 4 PGCs in a single VTS, and you plan on replacing them one at a time, it can't be done. If each title has its own VTS, then no problem.

Anyway, you open the VTS's for the individual PGCs, and NOT the VIDEO_TS IFO. And you demux by PGC, yes. And since you're planning on creating a menu using something else, then you won't be using PGCEdit for the replacing anyway.
