Im not sure when my problem began.
when i play my movie files, in different codecses, in windows media player both in version 10 and now in version 11. the view is scewed so the picture is too tall, or too slim whatever its called. this is both in windowed and full screen mode.
If i play the same files in VLC the picture is wider and correct.
how can i get WMP to play correctly ? imo WMP has a better UI.
Can anyone help ?

Try "view" , "video size" ... uncheck both upper options , close windows media player , and try again ... seems to be the one your after .

thx for your input, i just tried your suggestion, but this seems to only affect the zooming in windowed mode.
the movie is still scewed both in windowed and full screen mode
