Hi guys, Do I need to download some sw to be able to READ Arabic subtitles? In other words, must I have the Arabic version of windows xp or office? See at this point I can display Arabic characters in my Windows Media Player or Wordpad, however the letters are not connected to make up words...Any help on how to view Arabic subs is appreciated. Hi
I use DivXlandMediasubtitler.First i write the subtitles in notepad in Arabic. Then i open DivXLandmediasubtitler i load the txt file and the AVI, i add each subtitle at the right time using the Apply button, i save the file with the extension of ssa, i save it with the same name of the AVI file(ex myproject.avi and myproject.ssa) and be sure to keep them in same directory. Finally i open the avi file with media player and the Arabic subtitles appear.

ok..it may be really easier than that, just go to yr regional settings and make sure u havearabic fonts installed, if not then put yr windows cd and install them (controlpannel->regional settings->add other languages and check that the two checked boxes are checke) and i advise to use another program first 2 b sure .. also try the encoding feature -if available on media player-
