OK. Back to the original topic. If the first pic is a screen cap, am I to assume that the smoke is to be applied in editing/after effects?
Using the screen cap as an example. If the barrel of the prop gun is hollowed out enough, why not just drop a lit cigarette butt down the pipe and film the smoke that comes out? Unless you are gonna do some trick computer generated smoke that turns into text or a skull or something wicked.
The funny thing about gunsmoke is that there is not really all that much of it. I mean there is some smoke, but the stuff that just kind of waifs out of the barrle after the shot, is not all that much. There is also some smoke for a few feet/yards downrange right after the shot, but again it does kind of disperse kind of quickly, well at least outdoors anyways.
OK and yes, for the most part, the waifting smoke comes out of the end of the barrel, the same end that the bullet comes out.
Post the smoked added pic when you get a chance.IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?
