Hi, I was wonderinf there was a way to remove commercials from a movie on a mac. I found Cbreak it seems like a good idea but it is only for windows. I don't know enough to port it to mac. So if anyone knows a quick and dirty way to remove commercials that would be great else I can edit them out manually in Finul Cut Pro HD.

    thanks, elictricocean

What format is the movie in? MPEG Streamclip can cut and trim several different formats.

"Converting to converting to converting, but oops
I forgot to take out the commericals..."

If you have the original files, then you should go back
and open them in MpegStreamclip ( if it will handle
.tivo), trim cut, etc, THEN save to Mpeg-2 or
    whatever final format.

but at this stage ( of ipod format) anything we point out will
just degrade the quality further when you save it.

the .tivo is an mpeg2 with a wrapper. I removed the wrapper and got a a plain mpeg2 file.

Darwine doesn't groke it, I don't have an intel to try parallels, and I hate every other emulator for the ppc becuase they are too slow like Q, QEMU, VPC and so on
