Multipassing and DivX® 6.4.0 Codec, no video output on nth pass.

Hello

I am using the DivX® 6.4.0 Codec and ULead media studios pro 8. Here is my problem and what I have found out so far.

x is a simple 5 second video with no filters or anything on it.

1. Create x video using Rate Control Mode 1-Pass.
- Video works fine.

2. Create x video using Rate Control Mode = Multipass, 1st Pass.
- Video with no video output is created (normal).
- XML files and map.log file created.

3. Create x video using Rate Control Mode = Multipass, nth Pass.
- Video with no video output is created (problem?)

4. Create x video using Rate Control Mode 1-Pass.
- Video with no video output is created (bigger problem?)


I don't understand what is breaking when I switch from 1-Pass to 1st Pass, and 1st Pass to nth Pass. Am I missing settings?

I'm pretty sure I read in another post recently that that is a problem with Pinnacle Studio and Divx 6.4.0. Using an older version of Divx fixes the problem.

- Thanks for idea! I backed down to 5.2 and I can now do multipassing. Now who to send the bug report to DivX or ULead...hum
