  1. I am not getting any sound after ripping the audio using DVD2AVI the DVD is NTSC and the sound is stored on track 1 and still there is no sound!! You can check a picure of the Statistics box of DVD2AVI by going to this link http://www.fkbg13054.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/conver.jpg
The sound works in Power DVD from the orignal VOB Files! but not after ripping the sound using DVD2AVI!

hmm.. if your using smart ripper then where you ripped it to, there will be a .txt file you can open it up and look to see what track it is. Or just change it to like track 2.

uh, the bits that say "DD 3/2 448" pertain tothe audio track, so there definitely is one. go back and read the guide again.

  5. CDMaster,

    1) your stats window indicate the fps is 29.97. it looks like it's interlace, non-progressive, non-film NTSC (make sure you don't use forced film in dvd2avi)

    2) are you saying that dvd2avi doesn't create a .wav file at all? or that dvd2avi does create a .wav file but you just can't play the .wav file in media player.

    a) dvd2avi puts the .wav file in the same directory as the .d2v file. make sure it isn't that you saved the .wav file in some directory you can't find. otherwise, goto your dvd2avi audio settings. set dolby digital to decode and mpeg audio to demux.

    b) if you can't play your .wav file in media player, it's cuz the file is too big. what you need to do is split the vobs into two sections and treat them as two separate movies. the .wav files created from the two sets of vobs will be smaller so media player can handle them.

  6. i am assuming you cant find a wav file either. In dvd2avi you need to make sure in the audio tab that track one is selected onlu after that goto file save project. Try that
