Hi,I'm new to H.264 video files. When I watch the files in a small box on my pc and laptop, they work fine, but if I attempt to blow them up to full-screen they occasionally stutter or freeze for a few seconds. Is this a limatation of my PC(1.5ghz P4 w 768gigs mem) or is there a better player?I get the same results using MPC or Zoomplayer. Thanks

  2. Make sure you graphics card has Overlay enabled. Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced ->... from there it varies by card and driver version. Look for Overlay settings. On the Troubleshoot tab make sure Hardware Acceleration is all the way up.

    720p or 1080i or 1080p HD H264 ?
Are you using ffdshow as decoder or ? because mpc and zoomplayer has no support for h264.
    Tried VLC Media Player?

CoreAVC is the fastest decoder for h264 but 1.5ghz is probably still not enough for hd video, http://www.coreavc.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=28&Itemid=1

A sure sign it is maxing your graphics card and/or CPU. Check CPU activity. It is probably 100%.

yeah,it looks like it's a cpu issue.100% max cpu usage.Guess there's no way around that.I wish people wouldn't realease these types of files for download,It's a Matroska file on top of that! I'm never downloading another mkv file extension again!

  7. I get the sam problem. But it plays back slow and stuttering on both my dual 2.8 xeon(geforce 6800GTX) and my Pentium D 2.8(ge force 7600GT) and I can't get MCE2005to play it at all

Core AVC is the way to go. $9.00 and it works great. Try the pre-commercial version in Quicktime Alternative . 1.5Ghz is kinda cutting it, though.
