I used that Eazy VCD to create VCD's. To convert dvds to Xvid (as it is free) i use MagicDVDripper. I also have divx old encoder. I am ok at divx and xvid but never been successful in converting DVD to VCD.

That is rather a contradiction - VCD can't be "very good quality" due to its specifications. It's low resolution, it's low bitrate - Don't expect miracles. At the very best, old worn VHS tape quality is what you can achieve.
AFAIK, EazyVCD does the DVD to VCD conversion about as good as it can be done.

I have a very similar question: I want to copy a DVD to VCD, but I really need to add the subtitles to the video. It's opera in german and I won't understand a word without them. I suppose I would have to integrate the subtitles into the video, but I don't have a clue about the details of how this is done. Thanks for any help.

Dr_Asik, This guide might help: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=499888#499888

And if you have specific subtitle questions, you should start your own thread in the Subtitle forum.

What quality were you expecting? As others have said, "high quality" and "VCD" are contradictions...

If EazyVCD did not produce results acceptable to you, then that basically means that VCD quality is too low for your tastes. So, choose another format. There are lots to choose from, with varying degrees of quality-filesize tradeoffs, and varying degrees of cross-platform/device compatibility.
