Comcast streams NHL games and I'm wanting to watch them. but they stream at 700kbps and that is just barely too much to stay steady on my connection. it's smooth half the time and is just frames the other half. they give no options on setting preferences or connection. so is there a way using anything, trick, software, anything that i can stream comcasts stream at a lower bitrate so it will run smoothly on my connection?? i would take less quality for it to run smooth! i can't find any help, so thanks a bunch!

No. Some streams are meant to be self adjusting, so if they find themselves buffering they throttle back o the bitrate. But if the bitrate they are sending at is fixed, you just have to live with it.
