  1. I want to make some some dvds but i dont want to encode them with a 2 channel wav file. Is there a program that can encode to ac3 or something?

  3. CCE does not encode to DD5.1

    There's a proggy called "Sonic Foundry Soft Encode 1.0" that can do it.

  5. they have diconntinued the the making of Sonic Foundry Soft Encode 1.0
    but if you look hard enough you might find it...and by the way VCDs dont not support DD 5.1

  7. Neither VCD nor SVCD supports DD5.1

    You could do whatever you want with one of the X-variants (as they are simply non-standard S/VCDs) but it is highly unlikely that any X/S/VCD with DD5.1 audio will actually play as intended on a stand-alone player.

  8. By the way, it appears that Pioneer DVD players won't play DD-encoded CDs anyway. None of my Pioneer players recognize the DD stream...
