Hello,

I wish to broadcast and stream live TV over my LAN and maybe the net to friends using my Hauppauge WinTV-GO tuner card. Video is broadcasted without any problems, but there is no audio at all.

The cable (not sure of its actual name) which connects from the LINE OUT of TV card to onboard sound (LINE IN-blue coloured jack) works because i can hear audio when watching TV normally using WinTV2000.

There are no mutes and volume levels within Volume Control are set as they should be (I have tried placing a check in other devices in the Recording Control properties so that the check for Line In is unchecked).

While streaming/encoding I have even switched the audio cable and connected it into all six jacks on my onboard sound to see if any audio could be heard, but no. When I archive the file locally and save it, I play it back and can hear 'clapping' sounds when connecting the cable to and from all jacks.

In WME9 I use the wizard to configure my Audio device (Realtek AC'97 Audio) and set 'Pin Line' to LINE IN and ensure 'Enable' is checked after setting the volume levels appropriately. I 'pull from encoder' and then start encoding. The right column in the Audio Panel shows a little green level, very very low. Then if I connect the audio cable into a different jack the right column shows full volume in the red, but then slowly diminishes again to virtually zero.

All drivers are up-to-date (both tv card and onboard sound). I bought a PCI soundcard about six months ago to test that also, but I had the same problem.

I have not tried an alternative TV card. I cannot think of anything else to try, please help.... maybe it's a peculiar compatibility issue or maybe there is something crucial I have missed.

Any help will be appreciated, thank you...
