TMPEG DVD Author 1.6

I have used TMPEG DVD Author 1.6 trial for a while, and wanted to buy it, but when I went to TMPEG to buy it their site said they don't sell it anymore. I have lots of projects in 1.6 format and I don't like the constant license activation of 2.x. I noticed some stores sell TMPEG DVD Author, but I can't sell what version is in their box. Does anyone know a way to tell what version of DVD Author it is by the box. Resellers (even Amazon.com) are completely clueless about what version is in the box.

Target sells it here. The box is what most resellers show, but no version # on the box.

Well, it does say you can return it to any Target store. So that's one option, buy it and return it if it's not the right version. I suspect it's the newer one though.
