Here's a dumb question, placed here mainly because I've no other idea where else to put it.

Let's say I want to use my computer to play my PS2/Gamecube/etc... Is this possible, and if so, how would I do it?

Yes, it's a dumb question. No, you can't do it.

The last consoles to have a half-working emulators were the N64 and the PS-One. Neither worked all that well, although the short lived commercial emulator for the PS-One played quite a few games. The current consoles are simply to complex to emulate efficiently in a PC.

Knew it, but didn't hurt to ask.

Here's another one: I've seen a friend with his XBox 360 hooked up to his PC, playing it using the LCD screen. How is this possible?

Grab a heap of ps1 games in ebay cheap , and the emulator , and drive yourself nutt's ... dont forget to grab the other files required by the emulators , that control sound , graphics , and controllers .

Dont forget to grab a controller for the pc , or one of those convertor's for the original controller for the ps1 .

You are entitled to a backup copy of the rom , only if you own a ps1 ... by a buggered one for $0.50c will get you by this issue .

    --------------------

There's two very good free emulators available for the psx ... one will even play .... you know whats ... I wont say it here .

Here's a link for one ... supports both win and linux : http://www.epsxe.com/download.php

Drive yourself nutt's ... quite a few games work ... I'll dig mine out and see ... got about 100 of them still here .

As for N64 ... last time I played with it I was disappointed ... I'll have to check if they done any more work to resolve issue's .
