    hi- i am new to transferring miniDV to DVD- i tried one MiniDV using NeroVision- and the quality is awful!! i need some help... any advice would be MUCH appreciated... i also have InterVideo winDVD, and Windows Movie maker on my computer.

    I am not opposed to purchasing some new software if i can get quality the same as the MiniDV.

    Transfer the dv to the HD with WinDV or use Windows Movie Maker(save as DV-AVI).

    Use a standalone dvd mpeg encoder like Tmpgenc, Tmpgenc Xpress, Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder, Procoder (demos available). Encode the DV-AVI file to DVD MPG and use highest possible bitrate.

    Author the MPG file with an authoring tool like TMPGEnc DVD Author.
