Tmpgenc dvd author supports dolby sound, stereo/mono and 5.1. Must be something else.

    What is the error msg?
Are you importing the vob? or are you using the add dvd video option in tmpgenc dvd author?

    Rip vobs to hard disk.
    Load the vobs into DGIndex.
Decode Dolby digital audio and save as a wav.
    Save project file.
    Load project file into TMPGenc.
    Load wav file into TMPGenc.
    Encode

    Sorry misread
    Skip my post.
Thought it was TmpGenc encoder, not author.

Just a guess, but are you trying to import the VOBs into the same track ? I'm thinking you might have 5.1 and 2ch AC3, and I don't think that's allowed in the same track for different clips.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Different audio requires different titlesets to remain compliant.

  7. The audio video is multiplexed, i have the Vob file on my hard drive, audio file is dolby digital(AC-3),48000hz Stereo,192kbps,
The Vob file is added to TmpgEnc, but there is no audio.

You shouldn't add VOB files (only MPEGs are imported in file mode), import DVD source either by browsing for VIDEO_TS folder or by simply dragging VIDEO_TS.IFO to SET SOURCE window, each track (title) will be imported separately with one of selected audio tracks.

If you just have the vob files you can demux the video and audio from the vob files and then import them in tmpgenc dvd author. Demux vobs with vobedit, rejig. If the audio still doesn't work try run ac3fix gui on the ac3 files.
