Here is my problem, I am trying to encode a avi (divx 16:9 movie) with the psp h.264 option for playback on my psp. Now after reading many of these forums the only thing I got was to leave the settings along in ffmpegx and it will work, however it does not. I don't know if that was a fix only for 2.8 FW or what but it is definatly not working on my psp. I am using the latest release of the binaries and ffmpeg (.9x r2). I have an intel macbook pro, with OSX 10.4. Oh and one last thing. As a controll i downloaded a trailer from http://www.us.playstation.com/PSP which was encoded in h.264, and it worked on my psp! So in quicktime I looked at the movie info and found the only difference in the movie I encoded and the one that worked is that under format it looked like this:

    Not Working
    H.264 Decoder, 368 x 208, Millions
    AAC, Stereo (L R), 48.000 kHz

    Working
    AAC, Stereo (L R), 48.000 kHz
    H.264 Decoder, 320 x 240, Millions

I also tried it with 320X240 and it didn't work as well. It always says corrupted data. So any suggestions/fixes/anything would end my frustrations haha, the regular psp export works fine, but I want the clarity of h.264 PLEASE HELP haha

I also have this problem so any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm stuck too. I have the latest firmware version for psp and keep getting corrupted data when I put it in the 101ANV folder. It also shows up as file not supported if I put it in the new video folder on my memory stick. Save us from madness please.

  3. I should borrow a PSP 3.01 this weekend for testing and I'll let you know.

Interesting point to note as I am having the same problem major. All of the video files that were previously encoded using ffmpegx that were already on the PSP prior to the upgrade to the 3.0.x firmware still play fine. It is only the video files I have encoded since the firmware update that copy to the sony card that showup as corrupted files. This is a strange one.
