Problems with Burning a VCD with Nero

I have a problem with VCDs. I download episodes of DBZ off the net. Then I put the AVI files onto Nero which automatically converts it to VCD. But when I watch it on my DVD player the picture freezes a bit every 5 seconds. Everything else is ok but could you help me understand and fix the problem.

First of all you should not use Nero to do your converting, that may or may not be the problem, experence tells me Nero will not convert very good. Look to the left under CONVERT and find the best way to encode then Burn with Nero.
