I have an HP MediaCenter PC that came with an ATI Radeon X300 and also a separate capture/TV tuner card made by conexant (2388x). I recently purchased a new video card (the EVGA e-GeForce 7300GS) and now my capture card won't work, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Richard

What do you mean by it doesn't work? Just that it doesn't capture or it doesn't show up in the computer as being installed? Have you checked your Device Manager to see if it has a yellow checkmark by it?
Another guess is that the IRQ for it got lost when you added the new card. You should be able to see that in Device Manager. I'd try uninstalling then reinstalling the drivers and see if that helps. You might try moving it to another PCI slot. Some slots, especially the one under the video card share a IRQ and that can cause problems.
And welcome to our forums. -
I'd suggest you completely uninstall your capture card, remove it from its slot, boot windows once, shutdown, put the card back to its slot, reboot, the reinstall. Should work then.

Card shows up as being installed. Device manager shows it is working properly but when I try to use it with different programs, I either get a blue screen or the tuner selection is ghosted. Media Center says an "important file is missing." I did completely remove the ATI drivers using drivercleanerpro before installing the new drivers. Would like to re-install but haven't been able to locate new drivers. HP site doesn't list them and card manufacturer's site doesn't either.

I just noticed while digging through my device manager that my new video card and the old capture card both have an IRQ of 16.
Could this be the problem?
If so, how do I fix it?
Thanks -
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your help. I did what kamaleon suggested and that fixed everthing.
Thanks again,
Richard
