I came here looking for feedback on the new Instant Video To Go by Ads Tech, but found no reviews here. It's a relatively new USB device which sells for $80 (MSRP) that supposedlyaccelerates video conversion to the point that you can convert a 1:40 movie to H.264 / Mpeg4 in about 20 minutes. The primary (only?) market seems to be people converting video for an iPod or PSP, so no DIVX output.

    Inputs
    MPEG-1
    MPEG-2
    VOB (unprotected)
    DivX
    Quicktime Movie
    MPEG-4 encoded AVI file
    Windows Media
    MPEG-4 encoded ASF file
    3GP video
    3G2 video

    Outputs
    iPod High – 640 x 480, 1,536 kpbs, 30 frames per second, AAC audio 48 KHz, 64 kbps
    iPod High – 320 x 240, 768Kbps, 30 frames per second, AAC audio 48 KHz, 64 kbps
    iPod Medium – 320 x 240, 512 kbps, 30 frames per second, AAC audio 48 KHz, 64 kbps
    iPod Low – 320 x 240, 320 kbps, 15 frames per seconds, AAC audio 48 KHz, 64 kbps
    Sony PSP High - 320 x 240, 768 kbps, 30 frames per seconds, AAC audio 24 KHz, 64 kbps
    Sony PSP Medium - 320 x 240, 512 kbps, 30 frames per seconds, AAC audio 24 KHz, 64 kbps
    Sony PSP Low - 320 x 240, 320 kbps, 150 frames per seconds, AAC audio 24 KHz, 64 kbps

Anyway... I'd like to hear from someone who has actually used one

before buying one myself. I don't view video on an iPod or PSP. When I do shrink/convert video , it's usually just to burn dvd length video to a file which will fit on a cdrom and play in my dvd player (it plays compliant divx files and most xvid files, but I dunno about H.264), but still this sounds kinda cool.
