Just made a copy of my Cabinet of Dr Caligari DVD.
The film is relatively short (3.64 GB) and so didn't need any compression to fit onto a normal DVD-RW
However when I ran DVD2OneX2 (v 2.1.0) it still went through what appeared to be a compression routine before the burn routine, and the final files are showing as very slightly different sizes from the ones which MTR had originally produced (1024 MB instead of 1022.8, 437.4MB instead of 440.7 etc)
Is it likely that DVD2One was indeed processing the files, and if so, is there a way to tell it to just burn straight from the original files? ( I don't have Toast on this machine... )

Possibly DVD2oneX removed some language in audio or subtitles, making it slightly smaller. Open the 'drawers' for included streams and make sure they're all checked.
Failing that, try DVD Imager to make a UDF disc image from the ripped DVD folders, and burn that image file with Disk Utility. -

There will be times where, even though, you chose not to compress, the end result can still be smaller.
Here's why:
In your preferences, you can set DTOX to keep certain (or all) Audio files (Dolby 5.1, Dolby 2.0, DTS, Directors Commentary, etc). The same applies to Subtitles (English only or others) depending on what you want.
Myself, I keep Dolby 5.1 and DTS (if available) and English subtitles.
If you drop DTS, especially, you notice a Big difference in the Output file size.
