Hi,
I have been using the fairuse wizard (2.5) to backup my DVDs but lately it has been crashing my system. The wizard will start the conversion and then after a hour or so crash. I have been using iso files as the source.
I have tried version 2.1a and that has the same result. I have not changed an setting as far as I know.
Any help with this is greatly appriecated.
Kevin

Does it give any error listing? If it's crashing the system, maybe it's not the program. It could be CPU or system overheat. Have you checked the CPU temps or other internal temps about 45 minutes or so into the encode?
Or pull the side cover off and check for dust, or just blow a desk fan in there and see if the temps drop or the encode completes. -
I will have a look and give it a clean but I would not think that would be the issue because it is often running all day processing and doesn't crash.
