I was going to buy this player replacing my DVP642 because of the HDMI output. My TV is a Sony MFM-HT75W LCD TV: http://www.trustedreviews.com/displays/review/2005/06/23/Sony-MFM-HT75W-17in-Multifunc...ion-Display/p1 I have a few questions before I buy the player. I will buy a HDMI to DVI cable, then I will need a mini jack to RCA for audio. How will I be able to hear the audio from the TV? Theres a pic on that link that shows the DVI VGA and 2 small audio out holes for a mini jack. Im sure if I buy a mini jack to RCA and plug it in the player I wont get audio because its not on the same channel. Example: say I use S-Video I can't use any other audio RCA jack thats not on the same channel as s-video.

I just connected a audio cable from the DVD to the TV. Plays great on my TV speakers. I have a HD Toshiba. Then a coaxial to my Yamaha. if I want to play through my receiver. Should be no complications with any TV.

Ok thanks I will try it out. First I have to buy a Mini Jack to RCA to connect to the dvd player, then a hdmi to dvi. I will buy this after xmas so I will post my results after that.
