    hey guys!

imagine you have ripped your favorite tv-series to xvid and made them all into one dvd9 (sounds better than changing after every 4 episode the disc to me ). And you need now to name all the episodes. Seasons which each >20 episodes get really a pain in the neck when trying to rename each by hand, or?

    Why not try tvedb.org?
    what its all about?
    it has 3 parts:

    1. the webfrontend tvedb.org - there you can add tv episodes/browse the database etc. everthing online through the browser.

    2. the db backend tvedb.org/tvedb.php (not yet documented!) this will serve as an api for programmers who want to browse the tvedb database in their own programms (like a c++ gui)

    3. nameiT.exe - a tool using the above api made by me just to demonstrate the api (get it @ tvedb.org/tool/ )
    here a screenshot:

but why not just grab from the tons of existing epi-pages?

    - tvedb.org is free and will always stay free.
    - its a open community, there is no commercial thoughts.
    - with the api we want to provide programmers a standart plattform for using this db

So what do you think about this concept?
Are there maybe even volunteers who would like to help me?

ps: atm you can only test it with the following title: "Spin City" / "en" / "season 1"
