    Hi,

I still haven't found perfectly suitable software to authorize my DVDs.

It should be able to do following things:
    - accept of course video and audio but also .sup format subtitles
    - able to do some kind of simple menus
    - accept many clips and not just one

    I have tried at least:
    - old version of DVDLab (doesn't accept .sup subtitles, otherwise great)
    - TMPGEnc DVD Author (doesn't accept .sup subtitles)
    - Rejig (cannot make menus / multiple clips)

Is there a free/cheap software which can make all the things needed?

Thanks for your answer in advance,
    -+EpiMann+-

Maybe muxman advanced but I don't know how about its menu creating. www.mpucoder.com/Muxman seems to be down now.

You could also use DVDSubEdit to load your .SUP files and export them as .SRT for use in DVD Lab
    Read my blog here.

Thanks but no thanks I tried it and it makes a LOT of mistakes when converting from SUP to SRT. Too much manual work to be done.

And this Muxman seems to be identical to Rejig so you can author with subtitles but no menus or multiple clips.

  6. My Gui for dvdauthor (which is now also a GUI for muxman) is able to use muxman for menu creation. Details can be found here:

Multiple clips (either as SingleVTS or MultiVTS) are no problem.

I just posted a news item
    https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=1620780#1620780
about new DVD authoring software from SONIC that burns to future formats (HD-DVD and BLU-RAY as well as conventional DVD's)
it handles up to 32 subtitles in a timeline that inputs a script or has its own subtitle editor

oops I missed the free cheap line but left my post

Hmmm. I wouldn't convert the .sup file to .srt, but to .son, rather. That way you preserve the subtitles as pictures, and can load them into DVD Lab Pro.

Which software can convert from .sup to .son? At least DVDSubEdit is not.

And to be honest that GUI for DVDAuthor seemed to be quite hard for me at least

I'm sure it is not 'harder' to use as dvdlab (for simple menus at least).
