I'm trying to convert a final cut pro quicktime file (dv timeline exported to single quicktime file with dv codec) that is 720x480 to an mpg2 file (muxed) that is also 720x480. No matter what I do, and i've tried countless variations and settings, I can't seem to end up with a 720x480 file, even when the aspect ratio in the video settings read properly and the summary says I will. I always end up getting a 640x480 file, except when I choose settings that yield aspect ratios like 720x540 (and the summary says I will).
I understand the issues with square and non-square pixels, however I need to deliver a file that is mpg2 720x480 and not 640x480. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks!
