Hi guys
I am trying to recode a disc that is full of home movies burnt onto a DVD from a HDD DVD recorder - I don't know the model number.
If I create a straight copy it works fine but if I recode it to remove the menu etc. the picture judders constantly and the sound is about five seconds out of sync.
I had the problem once before when I tried to recode a DVD recorded on a Sony HX900 HDD DVD and found the answer on here.
There was a software program that encoded it properly but I can't seem to find the post about it on here or the software that did the answer, Google isn't helping either.
This is a pretty important job that I've got to sort out so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.![]()

how do you recode/reauthor? what tool?
I reauthor using Tmpgenc dvd author and it works fine with most dvd-video sources. -
Hi, thanks for the reply
I've tried using that software but apparently it won't accept the .vob files as they aren't the correct format.
I was basically trying to take the files off the original disc, and then just put the big vob files onto a new disc so it just plays without a menu...doesn't seem like it wants to do that!
