With the "use pulldown" box checked by default, I have noticed that with a vcd/mpeg1 file in ntsc film format (23.98 fps), svcd2dvd does not actually apply puldown and convert to ntsc 29.97 fps, and the resulting log file shows at "creating DVD folders" continuous lines of "frame rate not dvd spec 1". With an avi it always converts ok.
Is the "use pulldown" setting only for use with AVIs ?

It only works when SVCD2DVD needs to re-encode. i.e mpegs going from pal to ntsc or hdtv or avis.
Does the dvd play ok? If not the mpegs will need to reencoded to ntsc before they are loaded into SVCD2DVD.SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

Thanks ChrissyBoy, all understood.
The DVD does play ok in my standalone, I was worried that it might not in others.
