    Hi,

I've managed to create a menu with 3 buttons (each calling a separate clip) and the frame value of this "still.m2v" is set to 1500. After successful conversion to vob files and on running the vob file, these are the 2 problems I encountered :

    1) the buttons doesn't seem to work - clicking on it has no reaction

    2) menu doesn't seem to stay "forever" - once the time of 1500 is up, the whole video file close

Incidentally, I'm running all this via the PC using VLC player as I have not burn it to dvd yet. I want to make sure that it's working before I do the actual burning.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks !

Check your menu time-out options, it could be that you have set it to EXIT rather than setting it to LOOP or to Pause Indefinitely.
here is a link to a basic beginner's guide that includes a step-through for making a menu in DvdAuthorGui that I posted at DigitalDigest, maybe it will be helpful ???

    Link to 3-mb pdf file

Is this a still or motion menu?
If it is a still menu, set it to the default frame-count of 1.
If it is motion menu, I'm sorry , I don't do motion, maybe check the homepage for guidance.

What actions did you assign to each button -- that is, in the Menu Editor, did you set the button to "jump Title 1"?

When creating buttons ... to the right is the link to box ...

    1: link to title or
2: Other sub menu if button is for audio / subtitle menu choices .

Back in main gui , hit "nav cmds" ...

1: Here you set the jump's / return value's - what happens after a title has played
2: And if the title exits or returns to menu/s .

In you case , under nav cmds , link menu1 to menu1 (loops)
Also set what each title dose when they end ... either next title or return to menu1 .

Dont do anything more ... you need to be aware of the nav command links used in the menu and button structure or you might end up with problem's .

    That's what happened .

Then you could learn how to use pgcedit ... and get totally confused ... lol ... but were here to help anyway .
