  1. hi, newbie here and i just wanna rip specific segments off dvds to put on my websites (they'll be only a few minutes long each). ripping the entire dvd just to cut off the segment i want is more trouble than it's worth.

i'm looking for a dvd ripping program that lets me choose any start and end time. does anyone know if one such program exist?

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

You can do this with Smartripper. Just rip the chapters that you need (do this individually) and delete all the files Smartripper creates except the .VOB files. Then you can use some thing like DVD2AVI to get clips from the .VOB file. There might be an easier way to do this but this is what I do.

  3. thanks, i've been thinking about that. how would i know what each chapter contains since there's no timestamp in smartripper.i was hoping to at least get the time of the scene i wanna rip and locate what chapter it'd be in so i would just rip that chapter.

still, since i wanna do this for several dvds (like taking clips throughout an anime series), this will be a pain too.
