    Hey forum
I have been racking my brains tryin to fiqure out how I can convert an AVI for dvd that can be viewed on tv only format. Now i wanted to do this by converting IFF files to vob and then goin to a internet cafe and burning that on to a dvd but i am not familair with any program that does that and my premiere pro is outdated. Now the hardware and softwares i have at home for burning are nill-nadda-nothin...I have virtual dub, Media coder, after effects, but i cant seem to render out the files in mpeg2 format. I need as much info and resources that can be provided by everyone...This is for Demo Reel purposes...CG animation,Compositing,Visual effects so the timing and quality have to be excellent and percise..the format-NTSC...Thank you

Just get Ulead DVD Movie factory or Video Studio 10 they are simple to use and offer a 30 trial. You can convert your AVI videos to DVD format with DVD menus if you want.

Do you have a CD burner?

If so you can use WinRAR to create a back-up using a file size of 695MB and spread it out over X number of CD-R discs then put it back together again on the computer with the DVD burner.

I would create an ISO IMAGE FILE ... then break that into multiple RAR files (use self executable type and archive with no compression) ... burn to CD-R ... then extract on the computer with the DVD burner.

I can convert IFF files to mpeg if you want to send then to me -- other than that you will need 'shake' or 'digital fusion' to convert them ... maybe also in some other program ('combustion' also most likely)
