    I have a problem with my tv in card and dvd player clashing.
    my dvd player is a yamada dvr-800 and yv in card is an old one made by the pine group and uses the B878 chip.
    I am using a composite lead for video.
    I get a black vertical bar moving from right to left (as I loook) once the bar reaches the left side the picture flashes bright then the bar appears again at the right side and off it go's again.
    I am new to all of this so please forgive me if more info is needed.

    Verify you DVD output is interlaced and not progressive.

    Thanks I will try that. (checked its set to interlaced)
    I have been told it could be macrovision also
